Before a routine gynecologist visit, a woman decided to freshen up a little so she’d feel extra confident. Like many of us do, she reached into the bathroom cabinet for what she thought was her feminine deodorant spray and gave herself a quick spritz before heading out the door.

Everything felt perfectly normal on the drive to the clinic.

At the office, she checked in, changed into the exam gown, and tried to stay relaxed while waiting. The nurse prepared the room, and soon the doctor began the standard pelvic exam.

He glanced down… paused… and then smiled.

“Well,” he said playfully, “someone’s looking especially glamorous today.”

Her stomach dropped.

In that split second, she realized her mistake. In her hurry, she hadn’t grabbed her feminine spray at all. Without reading the label, she had accidentally used her daughter’s glitter hairspray.

So there she was, under bright exam-room lights, unknowingly shimmering like a disco ball — and her doctor had definitely noticed.
