Ricky John is 36 and from southwest London. He told The X Factor judges that he was homeless for about eight years and had been on his own since he was around 16, until he met his partner, who gave him two beautiful children and his smile back.
He chose Sam Cooke’s A Change Is Gonna Come because a change was exactly what he had needed. His voice was rough from sleepless nights with a new baby, and at one point it almost slipped, but he pulled himself together and the arena roared. 🎶
One judge said he was rocking Wembley Arena. Another said his voice and personality were so strong. One judge even said the moment it almost fell apart was when they liked him most, because he picked himself up.
Ricky got four yeses and was told he had just changed his life. ❤️
