Genesis Keren Nava was only 11 when she stepped onto the America’s Got Talent stage at the San Antonio auditions in 2013. She came with a big country song and a lot of courage.
She sang I Need You by LeAnn Rimes. Her voice was clear and strong for her age, and she sang every line with the heart of a real country singer, calm and focused from start to finish. 🎶
The judges were impressed by how much power came from such a young singer, and all four of them said yes. For an 11-year-old, it was a dream start.
Her journey later had ups and downs, but this audition was the moment Genesis showed everyone what a young girl could do with a country song. ❤️
