Her Dad Was More Nervous Than She Was, Then 15-Year-Old Julia Wowed the AGT Judges

Julia Goodwin was a 15-year-old high school student when she auditioned for America’s Got Talent. Music runs in the family, because her dad plays the piano at home and Julia grew up singing along with him.

Before this, her biggest gigs were at pizza places. Backstage, her dad admitted he was even more nervous than she was, and told her to go out there, smile and have a good time. 🎤

Julia took the stage and sang with a voice far bigger than anyone expected for her age. When she finished, one judge told her that if passion had a sound, it would be the sound of her voice.

The votes came in quickly, starting with a hands down yes and then a passionate yes. The rest of the panel agreed, and Julia was through to the next round. 🌟
