He Said He Could Not Win, Then 10-Year-Old Yakub Became a One-Man Lion King

Yakub was 10 years old and had been dancing for only two years when he stepped onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage. When the judges asked if he thought he could win, he simply said no, and the audience groaned.

The judges told him he had just as good a chance as anyone. Then the music started and Yakub threw himself into a routine inspired by The Lion King, leaping, spinning and flying across the stage. 🦁

One judge said it was like watching a leaf tossed in the wind, and another called it a one-man Lion King. He was also told he has star quality and that his audition was a real wow moment.

The yeses rolled in from the panel, and one judge joked that the theatre had added about 4,000 more. 🎉
