Elijah is from San Diego and started playing the cello when he was just two years old, on a tiny instrument made for his size. He is one of nine kids and shares a room with three of his brothers in a busy house that is never boring.
Being on America’s Got Talent had been his dream for years, and he said he had memorized lots of acts from the show. Nervous but excited, he walked out with his cello and played with a huge smile on his face. 🎻
One judge admitted the cello does not usually excite her, but she had a great time watching him, and another said his joy was infectious. Simon did not like the backing track, which Elijah’s parents had put together, but said he saw great potential and fantastic charisma.
Then the yeses came one after another, sending Elijah through to the next round with a big smile. 😊
