Trent is a 30-year-old firefighter from Hillsboro, Oregon. On America’s Got Talent he admitted he used to be married, said they both made mistakes when they were young and confessed that he is still in love with his ex-wife, Faith.
Heidi Klum had an idea. She asked for his phone, called Faith live from the stage and let her watch while Trent sang the original song he had written about her. His voice was raw and full of feeling. 🎶
The whole room stood up when he finished. The judges praised his voice, one of them called the audition very brave, and they could see on the phone that Faith was emotional and smiling.
