Jesus’ appearance was far more in keeping with his historical and geographical context. He would have had black hair that was cut shorter, a darker complexion, a goatee, and sandals on.
Taylor highlights that Jesus had a nomadic life, depending on the kindness of strangers and going through what the less fortunate people went through. His disheveled look even made him resemble a beggar, according to historical documents. “Birds have nests, foxes have homes, but the Son of Man has somewhere to lay his head,” said Jesus.
