At 70, She Finally Chased Her Childhood Dream on the AGT Stage, Then Balanced a Sword on Her Head

When Sandy walked onto the America’s Got Talent stage, the judges were surprised to learn her age. She was from Knoxville, Tennessee, and she joked that she was turning 50 that year, before admitting that she was actually 70. The audience cheered right away.

She explained that when she was little, her dream was to do something really spectacular on a big stage. Fifty years earlier she had been a professional dancer for a couple of years, but she gave it up for family life. When she turned 70, she decided it was time. Why not?

Dressed in gold, she danced to Last Dance with her best friends as her backup dancers, and at one point she balanced a curved sword on her head 😲. The crowd loved every move and was standing by the end.

One judge said she was the same age and stood with everyone her age who shows up and has fun, and gave her a yes. Another called her adorable but said no. Another told the ladies she loved them and said yes. Simon said he liked that the backup dancers were not the best dancers in the world, because that made it brilliant. He told Sandy everyone in the audience loved her and gave her the third yes ✨.
