Lily Meola came to the America’s Got Talent stage with a story she had promised herself she would tell without crying. When her mom was diagnosed with cancer, Lily became her full-time caretaker, and she lost her record deal during that time.
She said it may have been a blessing, because it gave her more time with her mom. Her mom later passed away. She was Lily’s biggest cheerleader, and the music she played in the car is what made Lily fall in love with singing.
Lily said she just wanted to make her mom proud and keep living her daydream. Then she sang her original song, “Daydream”, a song about chasing the things that scare you. 🎶
Heidi Klum said she was speechless, that she saw a light around Lily and fell in love with her immediately. Then she pressed the Golden Buzzer and sent Lily straight to the live shows. ❤️
