Calysta Bevier was 16 when she stepped onto the America’s Got Talent stage, all the way from Grand Rapids, a small town in Ohio. When a judge complimented her short hairstyle, she explained that it was not really her choice.
She is a survivor of stage three ovarian cancer, and she came to show people that no matter what you go through, you should keep chasing your dreams. 🎗️
She sang “Fight Song,” and every line felt personal. One judge thanked her for a performance that was so heartfelt and inspirational, and another said her tone was on point.
Simon said he had an incredible feeling about her from the moment she walked out and predicted great things for her. Then he said, “Sorry, I’ve got to do this,” and pressed his Golden Buzzer. 💛
