When Li Man, a municipal cleaner, was sweeping one of the city’s streets in the early morning, she saw an unusual bag in a garbage can.
The cleaner chose to open the discovery because it was quite hefty. The bundle contained bills totaling more than $21,000 or almost 150,000 yuan.
The woman was really concerned because she believed someone had dropped the gift. I’ve had to give it back to the owner,” the cleaner reasoned.
Li made the decision to take the bag to the cops. The cops located the owner of the money in less than two hours.
It found out that a local businessman was the owner of the package.
It was discovered that one of the businessman’s company cleaners mistook the money for rubbish and threw it out.
The money’s owner wanted to thank Li Man for her honesty and wanted to honor her by giving her 20,000 yuan, or more than 2,800 USD.
This amount equated to the yearly wage of a Chinese urban cleaning agent. She made the choice to decline the payment since she was confident that she had acted morally.
The woman’s honesty and her ability to act with such dignity in spite of her financial condition astounded the businessman.
Li Man earned the moniker “noble worker” when the tale swiftly went popular on social media.
