According to recent reports, four-year-old Jonathan Everett Boley’s body was found with his dog in a tragic posture.
The little child, known to his family as “John-John,” wandered off from his father’s land close to Jasper, Alabama, and vanished on New Year’s Eve.
According to Fox News, before going missing, Jonathan was outside playing with Buck, the family dog. The search, which entailed the combined efforts of hundreds of law enforcement officials, volunteers, K-9 teams, and aircraft support, began as soon as the alarm was raised and continued for three days.
When Jonathan’s body was discovered in a wooded area approximately two miles from his father’s house on January 2, the search came to a devastating end.
According to The Sun, Buck was found alive and waiting next to Jonathan’s partially submerged body in a body of water.
Although the official cause of death has not yet been determined, a preliminary coroner’s investigation revealed no indications of trauma or injuries suggestive of assault.

At a press conference, Walker County Sheriff Nick Smith stated, “We have to work this thing all the way through to make sure it was just an accident or if there was more to the story.”
Authorities also disclosed that, according to the law, no Amber Alert was issued for Jonathan when he vanished because there was insufficient evidence that the boy had been kidnapped.
During the hunt for his kid, Jonathan’s father, Jameson Kyle Boley, 40, was taken into custody on unrelated charges.
Boley was arrested on suspicion of unlawfully manufacturing a dangerous device after investigators discovered precursor ingredients on his house. Boley is charged with possessing materials with the purpose to illegally build a bacteriological weapon or destructive device, according to the Walker County District Court.

Sheriff Smith stated that these charges should not be confused with the search for Jonathan because there is currently no proof linking the child’s death to foul play.
According to Fox News, under a custody agreement, Jonathan and his siblings had been spending the holidays with their father while living with their mother in Florida.
Peace be with you, Jonathan.
