A modest and seemingly shy young man, Donovan entered the America’s Got Talent stage with the lofty goal of becoming a Broadway star. He presented himself to the judges in a reserved manner, but beyond that composed façade was a love of music that was poised to stun the entire assembly. His dreams had come true, and he was prepared to demonstrate his abilities to the world.
Donovan inhaled deeply as the music started and began to sing “Think of Me” from The Phantom of the Opera. His extraordinarily strong and lovely voice clearly stunned and pleased the judges and audience. He showed a talent well above anyone’s first expectations with his performance, which was full of emotion and amazing vocal control. When he took the stage, he changed entirely and became a real performer.
The entire auditorium gave him a standing ovation when he was done. Applauding his incredible talent, the audience and all four judges stood up. On stage, Donovan was left beaming as he took in the moment of unadulterated ecstasy. His audition served as a potent reminder that some of the best ability is concealed just beneath the surface and that you should never judge a person by their appearance.
