In the jungle, the bandits attacked a helpless elderly man, but they were unaware of who would intervene on his behalf or what would happen to them
The car halted in the center of the clearing, and fog hung over the damp, cold woodland. The elderly guy scarcely protested as the men pulled him outside, breathing rapidly and clutching his shaking fists to his chest.
“All right, old man, isn’t it time to pay?” With a knuckle snap, the tallest one spoke.
The elderly man was pushed to the ground. His hands trembling, he dropped to his knees.
“I… please… Give me some time. I’ll reimburse you for everything. I promise. His voice cracked and became a raspy exclamation.
“How much time should we expect to wait?” He was grabbed by the collar by another man who was crouching next to him. “This is what you’ve been promising for three months.”
“I… I’ll cover the cost. I’ll locate the funds. I’ll take out another loan.
The man with the leather jacket stated icily, “We need guarantees.” The others started giggling and exchanging sly looks.
The bandit turned to face his companion.
“Amputate his finger.”
The elderly man stopped. Then he started to shake and start crying, begging:
“No, please. I’ll reimburse everything. Please, I beg you, don’t.
The man had already grasped the elderly man’s wrist with a knife.
Suddenly, someone they didn’t expect to see emerged from the forest at that very time
Between the trees came a strange, deep cry. It was more of a vibration than a howl, as though the forest itself was howling.
One of them turned around and asked, “What was that?”
A gigantic white shape flashed between the trees in the following second.
Then he showed up—an Alabai. enormous, hefty, and bear-like in size, having a broad chest and a large paw. His eyes were black and full of rage, and his fur stood on end.
One of the bandits managed to utter, “What the hell….”
Without warning, the dog charged.
He struck the man with the knife hard, knocking him down. The dog was already over the victim, growling so loudly that the air shook before he could even scream.
When the robber attempted to strike him, the Alabai’s powerful jaws caught his wrist, causing him to drop the knife and scream instead of tearing it.
“Get him off!” said another, retrenchment.
The Alabai whirled and sprang at the following man. The giant dog struck him with his chest, knocking him to the ground as he struggled to stay upright.
The Alabai lowered his head and advanced, his eyes so intense that the tallest bandit froze as he drew out a club. He realized that the dog would rip into him at the first sign of movement.
“Come on! “Now!” a voice trembled and someone shouted.
The criminals didn’t even try to appear brave as they hurried to the car. The automobile roared, the doors banged shut, and it took off.
The Alabai, meantime, stood before the elderly guy, still vigilant and breathing rapidly.
The elderly man hugged his dog and muttered, “Oh, my protector.”
The dog gave him a gentle snort, as though to reassure him.
