When his wife discovered him with his mistress in their own bed, the husband replied, “Lie down next to me.” However, what the wife did next startled everyone 
The husband saw a chance to invite his mistress over instead of having to drive across the city to her apartment when the wife left to spend a few hours with her mother. He reasoned that they would have a few peaceful hours together since his wife wouldn’t be returning anytime soon.
They were lying on the bed as if nothing had occurred when the front door unexpectedly opened because they were having so much fun that they were unaware of how late it had become.
It seemed as though the husband didn’t care who entered because he didn’t recoil when he heard his wife’s voice. But when the mistress leaped to her feet and attempted to put on her jeans, the man grinned and remarked, “Lie down—what can she do to us? I’ll take care of it.
The wife only inquired when she came into the bedroom and noticed them in her bed:
— What’s happening?
With a smile on his face, the husband said:
What’s wrong, sweetheart? We have a guest. Come along. Together, it will be more enjoyable.
The husband was certain that his wife would scream, cry, or beg, but instead she quietly shut the door and did something that startled everyone
In front of the mistress, the wife unexpectedly put a tidy folder on the bed as she moved closer.
She whispered, “Do you know what’s in here?”
The mistress gave a bewildered shake of her head.
When the wife opened the folder, the mistress discovered printed copies of all the messages she had sent to the man, including admissions, explicit texts, and revealing images. She typed the same words to her own husband in other discussions, though, assuring him that “it’s over with that man,” “it’s just friendship,” and “I love you more than life.”
The mistress went white as if her breath had stopped at that very instant.
“Your husband has already received these materials,” the wife stated coolly. And to a select few of your pals. He has already read them, by the way.
Knowing that her marriage was ruined, the mistress’s hands started to quiver, she fell to the ground, and she buried her face.
When the husband attempted to leap from the bed, the wife turned to face him and stated, “Your turn,” without raising her voice. She pulled out another envelope and threw it onto his lap.
Included were records demonstrating that he had communicated with the mistress using his work computer and email, sent her private work files, used fictitious business meetings as a pretext to go on dates, and even skipped crucial meetings—all of which his boss had long suspected.
The wife said, “Your director’s desk already has these documents.” You’re going to be called in tomorrow morning. You’re really welcome.
The husband went pale and made an attempt to speak, but the wife ignored him. With composure, she picked up her suitcase and walked out.
When he realized he had lost his wife, his job, and the life he had known, the husband held his head in his hands while the mistress wailed.
