After watching the camera footage, I discovered that the outlet next to the crib had caught fire, which is why I was able to save my child when I noticed a peculiar burning smell coming from the nursery in the morning… 
When I entered the nursery this morning at around six o’clock, I detected an odd burning scent right away.
It was as though there had been a fire there only moments earlier. The room was quiet and peaceful, however the stench was strong and overpowering. My infant was soundly asleep in the crib, not stirring. I initially believed it was all in my head because he had hardly woken up during the night and had not cried.
However, my heart almost stopped as I got closer. The outlet was burnt, and the wall adjacent to the crib was black and soot-covered.
I went cold. That could only indicate that the nursery had indeed experienced a fire. However, how? Why had everything gone out already? And who released it? No alert, no smoke odor at night, nothing…
I clutched the baby monitor in terror, my hands shaking. I had to know what had transpired throughout that night.
I watched the recording almost without blinking after fast-forwarding it. There was total quiet for the first two hours. My infant slept like an angel.
However, everything happened in a matter of seconds at roughly 2:30 AM: the outlet abruptly erupted into blinding flames. Sparks dropped to the ground as fire shot upward.
The room might have caught fire with flames like those, and my child would not have lived.
I felt ill after watching the video. My infant, so small and defenseless, slept. He was unaware that death was only a short distance from his crib.
Abruptly, there was movement on the video. Upon closer inspection, I was astounded by what I observed. My child is still alive only because of that particular time 
My canine. Apparently sensing something, the person who typically slept in the living room entered the nursery.
When he noticed the fire, he acted without hesitation. He sprinted directly to the plug, where he snatched the cable between his teeth and pulled it out.
There were still embers that were blazing as the flames dimmed and began to go out. Then he started using his paws to pat them out.
After everything was eventually extinguished, the dog took a seat next to my baby’s cot and stayed there till the next morning.
He had burns on his paws and around his mouth, which I discovered later. And that’s when I realized that he had saved my child.
Please, mothers, use caution. Avoid leaving electronics on close to kids, inspect outdated wiring, and pay attention to odd odors.
Our dog’s presence is the only reason my son is still alive today. However, luck isn’t always on your side.
