My son once flatly refused to attend daycare, and I was dumbfounded when I learned why.
My youngster had been enrolled in daycare for five months. He loved going there, so occasionally he would urge me to stay a little while longer. He was excited to see his friends again, and the caregivers paid close attention.
He asked me to stay at home one morning while I was getting him ready to go to daycare. I initially believed it to be a fleeting phase, so I made the decision to listen to him in order to make him happy. I was able to go to work after calling my mom to remain with him.
The scene was repeated the following day, but this time he was crying and vehemently objected to attending daycare. I was very concerned by his insistence. I felt as though I needed to learn more about something that I didn’t fully comprehend.
I started by getting in touch with a neighbor whose daughter went to the same daycare. She comforted me by telling me that her daughter was doing well and that everything always went well.
Nevertheless, I continued to worry, so I made the decision to visit the daycare to learn the truth. I was stunned by what I learned.
I noticed an elderly woman without a badge making a youngster eat through a window.
She persisted in pushing the spoon into his mouth even though he was crying.
I chose to talk to the director despite her explanation that this was a rule of the childcare.
She attested to the fact that the woman was an inexperienced volunteer and that she should never have left the kids alone.
Following the incident’s notification to the authorities, an inspection uncovered a number of grave flaws, including staff members lacking the necessary certificates and kids being made to complete their meals under duress.
Consequently, the daycare’s license was revoked.
Other kids had the guts to testify because of my son.
I’ve signed him up for a new daycare today where he feels valued and secure.
