Everyone was appalled when they discovered the cause of the dog’s odd behavior when the youngster cuddled his dog before the surgery, and the dog abruptly leaped off the bed and lunged at one of the physicians 
There was silence in the tiny room. Lying on a white, immaculate sheet, the five-year-old boy’s eyes were big and weary. The parents were informed by the doctors that the surgery was his only remaining option.
The youngster muttered softly as the staff got him ready for anesthesia:
— Able to Come to me, Archie?
Surprised, one of the nurses said, “Who is Archie, sweetie?”
– My canine. I really do miss him. The boy’s lips quivered, “Please.”
— As you are aware, sweetie, the hospital does not permit animals. She tried to emphasize that you were already really weak.
With tears sparkling at the corners of his eyes, the child looked away:
However, I Maybe I won’t see him again.
The nurse’s heart was broken by such remarks. She looked at her coworkers and, perhaps unexpectedly, concurred:
Okay. Take a moment.
Archie was brought by the parents an hour later. The dog ran to the bed and cuddled up to the boy as soon as he saw his owner. He gave the dog a deep hug and smiled for the first time in weeks.
The kid and the dog’s relationship outlasted the boy’s pain and terror, as the doctors and nurses watched the sight with teary eyes.
Archie, however, got attentive all of a sudden. He leaped from the bed and went to a corner of the room, his fur bristling. The surgeon who was scheduled to do the surgery was standing there. The dog growled so loudly that the doctor thought he may bite him.
“Get this creature away!” the doctor said, taking a step back.
As coworkers hurried to soothe the dog, one of the doctors gave the surgeon an odd look and at last realized why the dog was acting that way 
It was smelled by the doctor. a powerful alcohol odor.
The anesthesiologist looked at the surgeon and muttered, “My God.” — Are you intoxicated?
There was a terrible silence in the room. The nurses exchanged terrified looks, and the parents became pale. As though defending his small owner, Archie kept roaring.
In a matter of minutes, it was evident that the surgeon had actually arrived at work drunk. His license was immediately revoked and suspended.
The procedure was rescheduled. Another doctor took over the boy’s care, and the operation went well a few days later.
After then, everyone agreed that Archie had evolved into a guardian angel in addition to being a devoted buddy. It might have turned out badly without him.
