Everyone was moved by the endearing scene at the zoo, where a young girl was playing with an otter, petting it, and laughing heartily. However, a zookeeper abruptly approached the parents and said, “You need to take your daughter to a doctor immediately.” 
The family went to a petting zoo that day, where kids could feed, pet, and even play with the animals in addition to viewing them from a distance. For their young daughter, it was an actual journey.
“Mom, take a look at that enormous turtle!” she exclaimed as she dashed between the enclosures.
Can we have bunnies like this at home, Dad? How soft they are!
Her parents were thrilled by her enthusiasm and chuckled.
The girl froze with excitement as they arrived at the otter enclosure.
“Look, Mom! It’s swimming in my direction!
In fact, one of the otters swam to the pool’s edge, clambered up on a rock, and extended its small paws in the direction of the girl.
The girl knelt down and started petting its damp fur. Instead of fleeing, the otter caressed her hands, rubbed against her knee, and wiggled its whiskers as though sniffing her.
Everyone grinned; so moving was the scene that many others paused to observe.
The otter abruptly stopped playing, though. It circled uneasily, returned to the girl, touched her stomach, plunged back into the water, swam along the edge, and surfaced next to her. It began to move erratically, tapping its paws on the rock and whimpering faintly.
The father smiled and remarked, “She’s probably just exhausted.” “Let’s go on.”
A man in a zoo suit came up to them as they were leaving the otter section.
“Pardon me,” he murmured softly. “This is where I work. Were you and our otter, Luna, visiting the cage just now?
The mother smiled and said, “Yes, she’s adorable.”
“Please don’t be alarmed, but you should take your daughter to a doctor right away,” the father said gravely, letting out a sigh.
The parents looked at one other in confusion.
“Why? Has something taken place? Is the otter to blame? Is she ill?
The parents were stunned by what the zookeeper then said 
He quickly reassured them, “No, no.” “Everything is alright. That’s all. Luna is unique. Over the five years that she has been here, we have observed an oddity. Our guests always acted in this way when they were ill, especially the children.
The mother turned pale and repeated, “Sick?”
Indeed. Similar to your daughter, one boy she “sniffed” was later found to have an early-stage malignancy. She is able to perceive scents that we cannot. Perhaps you will believe it to be a coincidence. However, I would get your child examined if I were you.
The parents couldn’t talk. They didn’t believe it at first, but the man’s words continued to reverberate in their brains. They visited the hospital the very next day.
Following the examination, the physicians stated:
“I’m glad you showed up. We are able to treat the condition because it is still in its early stages.
When they eventually arrived back to the zoo, the girl approached the otter’s cage and said in a quiet voice, “Thank you, Luna.”
