My biological sister forbade my daughter from going into the pool while the other children were playing and swimming: I decided to find out why she was doing this – and I was horrified by her answer

When the other kids were playing and swimming, my biological sister banned my daughter from entering the pool. I wanted to find out why, and I was appalled by her response😱😱

It was my sister’s daughter’s birthday. At her own expense, she invited the entire family to a pool party to celebrate.

My daughter loves games and water, so of course I was thrilled, and we accepted the invitation with pleasure. However, I was unaware that this day would become a true nightmare.

Everything went smoothly at first. The kids shouted in delight, ran around, and giggled. Then the time had come for them to enter the pool.

My daughter stood back while all the other kids joyfully leaped into the water, shrieking with delight. My sister appeared to be purposefully avoiding the water, I noticed.

Quietly, my daughter said, “May I go too?”

However, my sister gave a stern response:

“No.”

I watched as tears welled up in my daughter’s eyes. As she watched the other kids laugh and splash, she clenched her fists and stood at the edge. And she was unwelcome and alone.

I was boiling inside. I chose to investigate the cause of my sister’s peculiar conduct because I felt I had to safeguard my child.

I went up to her:

“Why is my daughter unable to swim while all the other kids can? If money is an issue, I’ll cover her expenses myself. Why is she acting like way while she is a child?

“I decided so,” my sister answered, giving me a chilly look.

“But why?” I made an effort to keep my voice from shaking. “At the very least, could you explain clearly?”

She let out a deep breath, met my eyes directly, and uttered something that left me speechless. Uncertain of what to say, I froze 😱😢

“Because throughout your life, our parents loved you more than I did.” Everyone was proud of you since you were always the “better daughter,” and everything came naturally to you. Now, the same thing keeps happening: they adore your kid more than I do. Everyone adores her, and she is constantly the center of attention. What’s left for me, then? to remain in the dark. I won’t let your child receive all the attention on her birthday once more.

I tried to take in what she had said while standing in utter disbelief. Not only was my sister standing in front of me, but a lady who had been resentful for decades was now venting her anger on my young daughter.

I approached my daughter, grasped her hand, and muttered:

“Come on, my love. We won’t remain here and allow them to harm you.

As she sobbed on my shoulder, she put her arms around my neck.

One thing struck me that day: jealousy has the power to ruin a family as well as a party.
