An elderly woman fell in the middle of a supermarket, but no one even tried to help her: the grandmother crawled toward the exit, hoping somehow to make it home — when suddenly something unexpected happened

No one even attempted to assist the elderly woman who had fallen in the midst of a store. The grandma crawled toward the exit in the hopes of finding a way home when an unexpected event occurred 😢😱

With her old wooden cane in her hand, the 90-year-old grandma walked slowly into the store. Her knees shook and her back ached so badly that she felt like she may pass out at any second. Every step was a battle. She had to buy groceries, though. Despite her loneliness and advanced age, she was accustomed to handling things alone.

She examined the products carefully as she moved slowly between the aisles. Through a patterned scarf, her gray hair was visible. When she realized the price, she returned the loaf of bread she had picked up. Then she picked up a pack of butter, squinted, flipped it over, and let out a long sigh.

The costs were almost mockingly exorbitant. She began putting things back more frequently as she became aware that she might not even have enough money for the necessities.

Because everyone was too busy shopping and the store so noisy, nobody paid attention to the elderly woman who was having trouble moving. She stumbled just as she was about to reach the end of the aisle. A stab of excruciating pain went through her leg.

– “Oh, it hurts.” — The elderly woman let out a cry and dropped her cane, landing on the chilly floor.

Many folks looked around. After a little moment of inaction, someone turned away. A man at the register pretended not to notice anything while a woman continued to select yogurts. The grandmother’s legs refused to cooperate as she attempted to stand up. She reached for her cane and attempted to get herself up, but she fell again.

She looked about in the hopes that someone would come to her aid, but nobody seemed to care. Her eyes welled up with tears, and her lips quivered. She extended her hand as though in need of assistance, but nobody arrived. One young man even took out his phone and began recording because he found it amusing.

Breathing heavily, the grandmother scurried to the door. She gripped her cane with one hand while pressing the other against the chilly tile floor. The store’s commotion seemed to subside, leaving just her labored breathing and a few muffled groans of agony. Every step was excruciating, but she persisted in the hopes of getting outside and home somehow.

No one helped, but people moved aside. There was a mixture of sympathy and apathy in their eyes. Everyone seemed to believe that they had nothing to do with it.

Then something occurred that caused many people to look down in embarrassment 😨😢

A young girl, perhaps five years old, came up to the grandmother. She had a teddy bear in her hands. Carefully bending over, she glanced at the elderly woman and whispered:

— “Is it painful, Grandma? Where are your kids?

The grandmother looked up. Her face lit up with a small, kind smile. In an attempt to assist her in standing, the girl extended her small hand.

When the girl’s mother saw this, she hurried over. She called an ambulance right away after helping the grandmother up and placing her on a bench. The young girl whispered, “Don’t be afraid, everything will be okay,” while holding the elderly woman’s hand while they waited.

The store was hushed while the grandma was taken away by ambulance. The persons who had been unable to look each other in the eye seconds before were unable to do so now.

Only one young girl had demonstrated what it is to be truly human.

She didn’t turn her head, she didn’t leave, and she wasn’t scared. She, the little youngster, was the only one with a soul in the whole store at that very time.
