A week after allowing a plumber into her house, a woman uncovered a tiny hole in the bathroom wall that had never been there before. She was astonished to learn what the hole was for 
The woman’s sink was leaking, so she used an agency to call the plumber. A tidy, self-assured middle-aged man came right away, rectified the issue, and then left after being paid. The homeowner had no suspicions, and everything appeared to be perfectly normal.
While cleaning the restroom a few days later, the woman discovered a small hole in the wall. She initially believed it to be merely a chipped area or fracture. Following the installation of tiny cameras in bedrooms and toilets, the victims started receiving letters or phone calls threatening them with the following: “Pay or your private footage will be posted online.”
When the police showed her the printed pictures they had taken from her flat, the woman almost passed out. Someone had been surreptitiously observing her life all along.
