Following a pre-Met Gala incident in which she shot daggers at a security guard, Kim Kardashian almost went viral on Monday night, May 5, for all the wrong reasons.
Kardashian attracted attention with her long black leather bodycon dress and Chrome Hearts-designed huge fedora, which were adorned with multiple diamond necklaces and earrings.
In keeping with this year’s Met Gala theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, which highlighted the impact of Black fashion and identity, particularly in menswear, the ensemble paid homage to the zoot suits worn by Black men in the 1930s and 1940s.
While traveling to the fashion event with her daughter North West, the reality star was seen on camera doing a slow-motion, movie-style strut. However, she was almost taken down by a security guard’s errant stride.
When his foot touched her garment, Kardashian whirled around, uttered a scathing remark, and threw up a hand in typical diva annoyance.
She bounced back fast and tossed her hair in her trademark style before heading for the car.
Users didn’t hesitate to comment after the moment was swiftly posted to TikTok. One person commented, “For me, it’s the hair flick.”

Although 11-year-old North had shared TikToks of herself and her mother earlier in the evening, wearing a stylish outfit of her own, several viewers surmised that she didn’t appear excited to be there based on her face. (But she didn’t go to the actual Met Gala; attendees have to be at least eighteen.)
Even though Kim’s minor stumble shook the moment, her gaze was still powerful.
