A paper plane from my grandson uncovered my DIL’s secret and got me banned from seeing him

Life became intolerable at 71 after my husband’s death, but I found hope in my grandson Timmy. However, I was abruptly removed from Timmy’s life by my daughter-in-law. Timmy yelled from his window and threw me a paper airplane one day after she slammed the door in my face. A terrifying message said, “Grandma, please help me.” I’m not secure. Don’t tell your parents.

When I went to see Timmy that evening, he told me that his parents were often fighting and that a man visited him every day. He was afraid. I was worried, so I called Billy, a retired police officer, who discovered that my daughter-in-law had ties to dangerous individuals and my son was involved in drug use.

I contacted social services with this information, and they took Timmy out of the house because of abuse and illegal activity. Unfortunately, my son and daughter-in-law were both imprisoned, and I was given temporary custody. Although it is difficult to raise Timmy at my age, I would be more than happy to provide him with a secure and caring home.
