As if it weren’t obvious enough, Keanu Reeves is an incredibly decent person.
You’ve probably seen the videos and heard the stories, unless you’ve been living under a rock. Reeves is a humble person who has never thought of himself as above kindness and compassion, despite his megastar position, millions of wealth, and incredible recognition.
When it comes to A-list celebrities putting others before themselves and acting as though they genuinely care about the public, it seems like Reeves does something new every few months to remind us that he is the best.
Reeves, who is well-known for his work on popular movies, has recently proven that he is also a skilled comic book writer. Together with Matt Kindt, he co-created and co-wrote the series BRZRKR, which has been the best-selling issue since Star Wars in 2015.
A nine-year-old series fan approached Keanu at a recent book signing and declared the Matrix star to be his “favorite actor.” Keanu’s response?
It’s just as wholesome as you may think.
It’s reasonable to say that when your star shines as brightly as Keanu Reeves’s, you almost never go a day without running into someone who wants you to sign an autograph or take a picture with them.
One would never guess it from watching Keanu engage with his followers, but we can imagine that the routine must get exhausting at times. After all, it’s only logical to assume that people who always want a piece of you will wear you down.
Over the years, the 58-year-old has shown his enormous heart and compassion on several occasions. For instance, after a lengthy travel, he showed generosity in answering a boy’s quick-fire inquiries. Consider the occasion when Sandra Bullock told him she had never had champagne or truffles, and he surprised her with them.
We could continue forever. The fact that Keanu Reeves is once again making the rounds on the internet after a confrontation with a nine-year-old fan should not be surprising because he is a truly decent person.
During a book signing, the young child reportedly went up to Reeves and said, “I’m such a big fan!”
Reeves can be heard asking the boy his name in video that IGN released. Keanu then identifies himself when the nine-year-old says, “Noah,” as if it were necessary.
“I think you’re the best actor in the world!” “In the video, Noah says.”
At that point, Keanu is seen grinning broadly. “Thank you so much, Noah!” he exclaims.
The 58-year-old actor then asked his little admirer a quick quiz to discover if he had seen Duke Caboom, the Toy Story 4 character voiced by Reeves.
“He’s my favorite character, yes!” Noah responds.
In these encounters, Keanu’s passion is evident in addition to his politeness. The fact that the John Wick star always seems to be as delighted interacting with people as they are with him was quickly brought to light by fans.
We believe it’s acceptable to ignore the adage that you should never meet your idols in Keanu’s case.
