The “Ant House”: 30,000 people in a single house 🧐

About 20,000 people, or the population of a small town, live in this complex, which is like having a little city under one roof. The complex consists of 36–39 story structures that may house up to 30,000 persons.

In addition to housing, Regent International provides its residents with commercial and recreational facilities, allowing them to stay on the property. The project was originally intended to be a luxury hotel, but as the real estate market evolved, it was transformed into a residential complex.

The large duplex rooms were transformed into little apartments in order to boost profitability. For instance, a 90 square meter space was transformed into six compact rooms that were successfully rented out.

The complex mostly draws young commuters, students, and budding businesspeople looking for reasonably priced housing in the heart of the city. Basic amenities including a bathroom, a small kitchen, and a sleeping area are included in the less expensive, windowless rooms, which range in price from $160 to $220 per month.
