When trolls accused Jennifer Love Hewitt of being “fake” in a selfie she posted on social media this month, she didn’t hold back.
Some online users quickly criticized the actress for her altered appearance after the Ghost Whisperer star was reportedly included in an Instagram image that her hairstylist, Nikki Lee, shared.
This occurred when Jennifer dyed her hair a rich, deep brown and chopped it into a bob. “It was time to spice things up,” her stylist wrote as the description for the aforementioned photo.
Fans of the 44-year-old were eager to flood the comments section with comments, as is sometimes the case when a celebrity makes any alterations to their appearance. While some of them tried to disparage Love Hewitt by suggesting that she had had cosmetic surgery, the majority were positive.
Some called the actress, who became well-known after starring in I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997), “unrecognizable.”

Now, although it’s common for celebrities to disregard their skeptics and critics in these situations, Love Hewitt chose to respond to her accusers by sharing a number of images that suggested she had undergone cosmetic surgery.
The actress wrote, “So many people said I look different.”
“I always look the same. Couldn’t appear more authentic. This is how I woke up. Filters don’t really alter who you are.

It goes without saying that Hewitt’s face was covered in a variety of filters in the humorous photos. Despite their exaggeration, the actress urged viewers to exercise kindness when leaving comments on other people’s images.
“Let people be filtered or unfiltered,” she wrote at the end of her post. Be kind. Show kindness. Love should be shared.
Love Hewitt’s appearance came under scrutiny earlier this year when she shared a photo to commemorate her 44th birthday.
“I was 44 when I woke up at 4 a.m. I am a mother of three amazing children, married to the most amazing and attractive man, and I am really thankful, lucky, happy, and occasionally insecure about getting older. I am also truly looking forward to what this year holds for us,” she wrote in her article.
“I love magic, and I sense it in the air.” I’m off to work. I’m grateful that my mother gave me life. I really do miss you. I’m going to finish my work and celebrate my birthday later. P.S. Atticus woke up far earlier than he should have and sung me a happy birthday! My heart melted. Now, everyone, go have a wonderful day. You must do that because it’s my birthday!
Then, fans and followers who were shocked by the former child star’s appearance left a lot of comments.
“I assumed they were mistaken when I saw this picture in an article since I didn’t think it was JLH—I didn’t even notice a resemblance. One user commented, “I came to Instagram to double check and I am shocked.”
“Why does she not resemble herself? Another said, “I’m so perplexed.”
Another said, “That’s not her.””That isn’t possible.”
