Eight-year-old Cayden Taipalus is here to help you regain your faith in people, so if you think it’s gone, don’t give up.
After observing that one of his friends was not getting a hot breakfast at school, this young man made the decision to act independently.
Cayden requested money from friends, family, and neighbors to pay his buddies’ lunch debts. However, when his story spread, many were moved by it, so his effort was not just for financial benefit.
He even started a recycling campaign in an attempt to make money on his own. After that, he spoke to the school’s lunch staff and requested that the funds be moved to the accounts of the children who were struggling financially.
Since starting his initiative, Cayden has raised over $41,000, which has enabled him to feed other students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Making ensuring no youngster skips a school day without a hot supper is Cayden’s ultimate goal.
In an interview with ABC News, his mother said, “I am so very proud of my son.” I think it’s really amazing that he understood this concept at the age of eight. He has a golden heart.
What began as a gut-wrenching thought for Cayden evolved into a project that could ensure that a large number of children have hot lunches.
He was well-liked by many, who were inspired to back his endeavor.
