Fans will miss you…Denzel Washington shares some heartbreaking news…

One of Denzel Washington’s last roles was revealed when he declared his retirement from acting. The well-known actor co-stars with Pedro Pascal and Paul Mescal in the eagerly awaited Gladiator 2. Ahead of the movie’s premiere, all three are currently making the rounds with the media, and in an interview with Today, Washington talked about his career goals. The actor claimed that one of Washington’s last ventures, the third Blank Panther movie, will feature him as a character written by director Ryan Coogler. He wants to play the lead in a Shakespearean Othello adaption and a new Steve McQueen movie before he retires.

“It’s about the filmmakers,” the Gladiator 2 star told Today. “I only want to work with the best at this stage of my career,” Washington said. “I have no idea how many more movies I’ll make. Most likely, there aren’t many. I want to try things that I have never done before. “I was 22 when I played Othello,” he continued. I will be 70 years old when I perform Othello. I’m playing Hannibal after that. I then discussed a project with Steve McQueen. Ryan Coogler has since written a part for me in the next “Black Panther.” I’ll then work on the movie “Othello.” I’ll do King Lear after that. I’m going to retire after that. Washington would, of course, make an appearance in a third Black Panther movie, and in 2019, the series’ protagonist, Chadwick Boseman, gave him the AFI Life Achievement Award.

The performer said, “My entire cast is standing on your shoulders.” “The blueprints for us to follow were laid by the daily battles you won, the thousand territories you gained, and the numerous sacrifices you made for the culture on film throughout your career—the things you refused to compromise along the way.” Earlier this year, Washington gave an explanation of his motivation for wanting to appear in Gladiator 2 in an interview with Empire. The main man said, “I have to be inspired by the filmmaker because there aren’t many films left that I’m interested in making.” It’s reasonable to suppose that the Gladiator role thrilled the Blank Panther actor. Washington portrays Macrinus, a former slave and power broker, in the much awaited follow-up. On November 22, Gladiator 2 will be released in theaters across the United States.
