Princess Diana’s ex-chauffeur breaks 30-year silence and shares shocking details, claiming she would still be alive if…

For the first time in decades, Princess Diana’s former driver has come forward to assert that she would still be alive today if he had driven that night. Many people are still curious about what happened on that fateful day in Paris, and the mystery and intrigue surrounding her death are still very much alive and well 27 years later. Injuries sustained in the early hours of August 31, 1997, claimed the life of the 36-year-old Princess of Wales.

The member of the Royal Family and her lover, director Dodi Fayed, Diana’s driver, Henri Paul, and Fayed’s bodyguard, Trevor Rees-Jones, were in a car in Paris early in the morning. When nine journalists pursued the car through the Pont de l’Alma underpass, a horrible incident happened. Paul killed himself and Fayed instantaneously, but Diana and Rees-Jones were seriously injured when he lost control of the car and collided with a column in the underpass. A firefighter overheard Diana’s final words, “Oh my God, what’s happened?” as emergency personnel raced to the scene to collect the injured and transport them to the hospital.

Sadly, the former British Princess died at 4 a.m. in hospital.
But in response to the tragic incident, Princess Diana’s former driver has stated, “I would have taken a bullet for Diana.” My existence revolved around my work. I was there for her no matter what. I went from chasing my ideal job to having to start over. He remarked, “All I know is that she would still be here today… because I would have kept her safe if life had taken a different course and I had been driving her that night in Paris.” Steve conveyed his unfathomable sorrow for Princess Diana’s passing.

After serving in the army for eight years, he explained how he was demoted. It took him watching Netflix’s The Crown series to really understand why, something he had been wondering about for a while. Before his infamous Panorama interview with Diana, journalist Martin Bashir spread rumors about the driver in an attempt to win her trust. He told her that Steve had given the media information on her. Thankfully, Bashir’s false accusations resulted in Steve receiving compensation in May of this year. “Essentially, he told her I was a traitor, when the treachery was all his,” Steve added, still feeling unsatisfied.
