58-year-old Paul Skinner went biking with some of his friends. As they walked down a more remote section of road, they saw something strange moving in a ditch next to the road. In order to better observe what was happening, they decided to approach. They came upon a frightened, apparently deserted dog trying to protect a bag in his mouth.
But when the men opened the bag, they were surprised. There were four dead puppies in the package. It looks like the puppies were born on the same day. The men immediately called the police because they were afraid of what they had seen. They were accompanied by representatives of an animal shelter, who took the puppy and named it Carly.
After conducting some research, the authorities came to the conclusion that Carly had been abandoned in that ditch with her newborns as soon as she gave delivery. Even after their owner abandoned them, Carly never left her cubs’ side; yet, it seems that she was unable to remove them from the plastic bag that was securely tied. We can only hope that Carly’s owner is caught and held accountable for this heinous deed. He has acted in a very terrible manner. In addition to abandoning the mother and the puppies, he also put them in a knotted plastic bag to prevent them from having a chance at life. He sentenced them to death.

Animal abuse and abandonment are regrettably becoming increasingly common. Stricter laws and harsher punishments are needed for those who commit these offenses.We can only wish for Carly to find a caring home and get the attention she requires. Despite the heat and the fact that her puppies were not getting enough food or water, she bravely decided to stay with them till the very end.
