The renowned country singer Kenny Rogers had a convoluted romantic history filled with multiple marriages and divorces. Even though he was devoted to his spouses, his love of music frequently overshadowed his loyalty to them. Looking back, Rogers acknowledged that his marriages had failed in large part because of his commitment to music.
He said that the dissolution of their marriages was not the fault of his ex-wives. Rogers was not a bad spouse, but he was still a fun partner. Even after their divorce, his ex-wife Marianne Gordon reaffirmed her admiration for him. Eventually, Rogers’ fifth and last wife, Wanda Miller, helped him discover a lifelong love.
Jordan and Justin, their twin kids, are a blessing from their marriage. Wanda’s understanding and support of Rogers’ efforts to be more present in their life was often acknowledged by Rogers. His relationship with Wanda strengthened even though he worried he wouldn’t have enough time to raise his kids.
Rogers enjoyed being a father very much. Even when Rogers and Marianne separated, Marianne and Wanda remained friendly, and Marianne kept sending cards to Rogers until his death in 2020. Following his passing, Wanda paid a moving homage to him and promised to carry on his legacy.
