Tori Spelling’s Emotional Reflection on Her Last Conversation with Shannen Doherty

Famous for her part in the popular 90s sitcom “Beverly Hills, 90210,” Tori Spelling recently opened up about her intense feelings following the death of Shannen Doherty, her co-star. In a recent “90210MG” podcast episode, Spelling talked candidly about her last interaction with Doherty, who passed away at the age of 53 from breast cancer.

Spelling apologized for not having had more time to make amends and deal with Doherty’s prior transgressions. She was appreciative, nevertheless, that they got the chance to speak deeply before Doherty passed away. Jennie Garth, her co-host on the podcast, also shared her joy for Spelling, admitting that she wished she and Doherty had had a similar talk.

Spelling reminisced about her role as Donna Martin on the television series “Beverly Hills, 90210,” which her father, Aaron Spelling, executive produced and co-created. Before Brenda Walsh’s character was eliminated from the show, Doherty portrayed her for the first four seasons. Spelling acknowledged in 2015 that she contributed to Doherty’s termination; nevertheless, prior to her passing, Doherty was able to make amends with both Spelling and Garth.

Spelling said that she was having trouble adjusting to the death of Doherty and that it has affected her. Garth acknowledged Doherty’s incredible perseverance in battling her disease while also expressing her shock and disbelief. Spelling said that it was hard for Doherty to understand that her struggle with cancer was lost because of her tenacity and spirit of defiance.

Many of their “90210” co-stars have honored Doherty on social media following her passing. Gabrielle Carteris, Jason Priestley, Brian Austin Green, Spelling, and Garth have all paid tribute to their late co-star. In her ode to Doherty, Spelling emphasized their friendship that developed into an adult friendship, showed her love, and pledged to continue Doherty’s legacy.

Doherty’s demise occurs five years following the demise of Luke Perry, a fellow “90210” co-star who passed away in 2019 at the age of 52. A number of additional cast members, including Denise Dowse, Joe E. Tata, and David Gail, have passed away in recent years, leaving the “90210” family grieving.
