Every animal lover is against hunting for trophies. It can be difficult to accept that some people take pleasure in killing endangered species, such as lions and rhinos.
Many species have been driven to the verge of extinction by this “sport,” but despite opposition from conservation organizations and controversy, this type of hunting is still permitted in many locations.
However, the animal kingdom does occasionally have its own sense of justice. and a hunter met an untimely end that could be attributed to “karma.”
From South Africa, Scott Van Zyl was a well-known trophy hunter. Van Zyl was not just a hunter but also the owner of a “safari” business, where he guided clients on large game hunts.
He targeted elephants, giraffes, lions, and cheetahs.

Van Zyl left on one of his hunting expeditions in Zimbabwe in 2017… Only he didn’t come back this time.
The hunter left with a group of hounds and a local tracker, according to the BBC. His tracker dogs returned without him, so it was thought that he had gone missing when he set out on his own to hunt crocodiles.
His suitcase and footprints were discovered close to the riverbank. Authorities in the area looked into the crocodiles. and discovered human remains that Van Zyl’s DNA test had shown to be his.

Many others claimed that he had it coming because he had killed so many animals and that it was karma once the tale went viral.
While not condoning the hunter’s passing, One Green Planet argued that this case serves as further evidence against trophy hunting because it puts the lives of the hunters in unnecessary danger.
They wrote, “Let’s be honest, Zyl never should have gone hunting.” “We must ask ourselves if the ‘thrill of the hunt’ is really worth taking intentional risks with other people’s lives in order to risk your own.”
