Barbra Streisand again attacks the “tyrant,” threatening to leave the country if the Republican front-runner for 2024 is re-elected, after icily serenading the former president in her song “Don’t Lie to Me.”
In an interview with Stephen Colbert, the musician and actor called the four-time indicted Trump “so stupid” and “ill-informed,” adding, “I can’t live in this country if he becomes president.”
However, she has threatened people before, and she is not the first famous person to have broken their word to leave for Canada, Europe, or even Jupiter after Trump’s victory in 2016.
When Barbra Streisand, the 81-year-old gem, exclaimed, “Yes, Mr. Trump, let’s make America great again,” she wasn’t aiming to be a Funny Girl. First things first: America was fantastic even before you were elected.
The seasoned Democratic fundraiser and supporter isn’t afraid to voice her disapproval of the outgoing president, referring to him as “the Liar in Chief, the Groper in Chief.”
The Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award winner, or EGOT, released her 36th album, “Walls,” in 2018. The album was inspired by the reality show star who went on to become the US president.
“I wanted to talk about the things that were making me feel so sad, heartbroken,” she remarked in an interview with Associated Press on the song. “I just can’t stand what’s going on,” Streisand says. I believe we are going to struggle over his attack on our democracy, our institutions, and our founders.We are engaged in a struggle for America’s soul.
A musical ode against Trump’s despotism, the Grammy-nominated album has hits like “Don’t Lie to Me,” which Streisand says was inspired by news that left her feeling “sick, listening to lies, listening to things that are such craziness.”
“I don’t think the country should be lied to, and I can’t stand to be lied to.” “And I simply couldn’t comprehend how he could tell all these lies with absolutely no guilt (clearly he’s not Jewish),” she quipped after that.

According to The Wrap, comedian George Lopez declared he will return to Mexico in a joke: “We’ll all go back if [Trump] wins; he won’t have to worry about immigration.”
Day after Trump’s triumph over Democrat Hillary Clinton, Chelsea Handler, who had declared her intention to resign, changed her mind. “My staff reminded me yesterday that leaving the country equates to quitting; platforms and voices like mine are needed more than ever.”
Other celebs, meanwhile, came up with more inventive escape strategies.
“I would consider getting in a rocket and going to another planet, because clearly this planet’s gone bonkers,” comedian and talk show host Jon Stewart remarked.

Now that Trump is the apparent Republican front-runner, Streisand is speaking out about her worries about the impending elections.
The late singer and actor said to host Stephen Colbert during an appearance on The Late Show that she would not put up with being a citizen of a nation led by a guy she had previously referred to as “so stupid” and “so ill-informed.”
“If he becomes president, I can’t live in this country,” Streisand declared, adding that if she had to move, it would probably be to England since “I like England.”
