When an animal is in need, firefighters are always willing to lend a hand. Numerous accounts exist of these unsung heroes saving animals from dangerous situations.
While some animals express their thanks to their rescuers, some clearly don’t. Take the case of one grumpy cat in a viral photo who doesn’t seem to be impressed after firefighters save his life.
A story about a cat that was discovered “between a wall and a hard place— literally!” was posted on April 14 by the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service in England.
Crews from Preston reportedly arrived on the scene to rescue the cat, who was reportedly stuck between two walls.
They were able to successfully extract the cat by gradually chipping its way out. The rescued cat, however, didn’t appear to be all that impressed with their rescue effort; her wonderfully sour grin says it all:
When the picture went viral, a lot of people commented on how the cat was looking.
“The commenter said it best—the cat’s face.”
Another remarked, “It seems like the cat wasn’t too thrilled to be saved or have its picture taken.”
“I can’t stop laughing at that cat’s face—it doesn’t seem appreciative at all.”
Another joke went, “If that cat was a dog, it would be licking the fireman’s face off.” “The cat believes that the gloves are the only thing preventing me from gnawing off his hand.”
Of all, if we were confined between some tight walls for the entire day, we could all be a little cranky. The firefighters were glad to assist even if the cat may not have been the most grateful recipient of their help.
They posted on Facebook, “We always like to be on our toes because of cats.”
