Candace Cameron Bure Opens Up About Her Battle with Depression

The famous Full House actress Candace Cameron Bure boldly discussed her battle with mental health in a recent podcast episode. She was honest about how hard it might be to ask for help and how shame and loneliness are common side effects of depression.

“Depression is such a lonely place and it’s very difficult to speak out about it, even to your most trusted people,” cried a heartbroken Candace. Admitting it is difficult for me because I feel like I should be able to handle it, but instead it feels weak. It simply seems so frail. and how that is perceived.

Candace went on to talk about how feelings of shame can be exacerbated by how other people see mental health and sadness. Many people think it’s weak and will say so, so it’s easy to feel instantly ashamed and think, ‘Oh, well, if I struggle with this then I’m a weak person.'”

Even though Candace tried to get herself out of the dark, she realized she needed to seek for assistance because she couldn’t accomplish it on her own. “I think, ‘I don’t want to feel this way,’ a lot of the time. Despite my best efforts, I am unable to extricate myself from this precipice. I am unable to rescue myself on my own. However, it’s difficult to reach out and say, “Help me.”

Candace encouraged her Instagram followers to know they are not alone if they are going through something similar by posting this touching video. Psalm 34:17–18, which states that the Lord hears the pleading of the righteous and relieves them from all their problems, was cited by the speaker. The Lord delivers those who are crushed in spirit and is close to the brokenhearted.

Many individuals thanked her for being brave and honest in sharing her experiences with depression in the post’s comments area. “Such an important thing to admit out loud,” a commenter remarked. I’m grateful. I admire your courage to say the truth. “Nothing is stronger than someone who has the courage to talk about this,” said another.
