The rumors are true! A new member of Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn’s family is on the way!
When their son Wyatt Russell and his wife Meredith Hagner give birth to their second child early in the new year, the grandparents—who already have seven grandchildren—will have yet another member of their family.
On Instagram, Meredith declared that she would give birth to a son as her second child in February 2024.
A child named Buddy Prine Russell was born in 2021 to her and Wyatt.
“So excited to share we have another little boy coming in February,” Meredith wrote on Instagram. “I am incredibly appreciative.”
After his first child was born, Wyatt had previously told Entertainment Online, “It’s everything you didn’t know it was going to be.” It’s all about him and your family now, and finding a balance between everything.
As for Kurt and Goldie, they are both thrilled to be grandparents. Hawn even revealed to Hello! Magazine that her grandchildren call her “GoGo!” Goldie and Kurt are the grandparents of Ryder, Bingham, and Rani Hudson of Kate Hudson, Wilder, Bojdi, and Rio Hudson of Oliver Hudson, and Buddy, the son of Wyatt Hudson.
Embracing her role as a grandmother, Goldie has shifted from counseling her kids to instructing them by her actions.
“You have to be realistic, compassionate, and earn a living through work.” In March of this year, she told Variety, “I’m passing that on because it’s something my father taught me: stay grounded.”
Meredith, who wed Wyatt in 2019, previously posted a picture of herself pregnant on Instagram along with a passionate statement about being a parent.
“When your child is born, you are reborn.” this time as a mom. She added, “She may be a stranger to you for a little while, but the essence of who you are, all the magic that makes you so uniquely YOU, is there.” “The you that has been 36 years in the making will exist in a different energy entirely, and there is a new stranger attached to you both physically and energetically.”
