Matt LeBlanc returns to Instagram after an 11-month hiatus and pays heartfelt homage to Matthew Perry.

In order to show his appreciation for his friend and “brother,” Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc has spoken up.

LeBlanc, 56, honored his closest friend and roommate on film with an emotional Instagram post.

This was the Friends actor’s first post on the social media site since January 2023.

“I bid you farewell with heavy heart.” With a carousel of old photos featuring the cast of the venerable NBC comedy, LeBlanc wrote, “The times we spent together are honestly among my favorite times of my life.”

“It was an honor to call you a friend and share the stage with you.” You’ll always bring a smile to my face, and I’ll never forget you. Never!

With much affection, he added, “Brother, spread your wings and fly, you’re finally free.”

LeBlanc chuckled, “And I guess you’re keeping the $20 you owe me.”

Last month, Perry’s body was found at his Los Angeles residence. Following his death, admirers from all around the world paid their respects to him.

The cast of Friends released a statement as a group following his passing.

“The loss of Matthew has devastated us all to pieces. We were colleagues, but more than that. We are one family. “There is so much to say, but we’re going to grieve and process this unfathomable loss for the time being,” the statement read. “In the future, we will share more information as we can.” Our prayers and thoughts are with Matty’s friends, family, and all of the people who loved him, for the time being.

This month, Perry held a private funeral. It was said that his previous co-stars were there.

Although they are still looking into Perry’s death, authorities do not believe foul play was involved.

My heart bleeds at Matt LeBlanc’s tribute. They made one of the best friend pairs ever in their fictional lives, and I have no doubt that their friendship continued in real life.

I can’t imagine the struggles Matt LeBlanc faces. My prayers and thoughts are with him.
