A 10-year-old Gets a Standing Ovation for Singing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”

10-year-old Gracie Wickens-Sweet receives a standing ovation when she performs “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” on Britain’s Got Talent.

“I’ve heard of a land way up high, somewhere over the rainbow.”

Once upon a time, far beyond the rainbow, azure sky

Furthermore, the dreams you dare to pursue truly do come true.

The hit song from Judy Garland’s Wizard of Oz album was ideal for Gracie’s audition! Gracie Wickens-Sweet answers boldly when one of the judges asks her about her dream.

“To perform in front of such a large audience and be a star,” she says. It seems like she’s getting closer to achieving her goal!

 

Ten-Year-Old Sweetly Sings the Lyrics to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”

Gracie seems so confident as she enters the stage. Additionally, her mother is supporting her from the sidelines. When you have someone who supports you in the same manner that parents do for their children, it really helps to increase your confidence.

During her audition, Gracie Wickens-Sweet sings this motivational song with all of her heart. And she performs a fantastic job!

She hit a wonderful last note at the conclusion. What a sweet and gifted young woman! It should come as no surprise that the judges and crowd gave her a standing ovation! When Gracie notices everyone’s reaction, she finds it unbelievable and cannot stop grinning.
