Young people frequently receive criticism for not wanting to work.
However, the protagonist of our tale is a young American man who values his career highly and does not want to give it up in order to spend time with his family by the sea.
His mother posted this account on the discussion forum Reddit to see what people’s opinions were.
She described the circumstances in which her son appeared in a post that was very lengthy.
She claimed to have three sons, the oldest of whom had discovered and adored a part-time position as a lifeguard at a swimming facility.
But because the family took a vacation every year, the time had come to depart. The child had been working for a month and a half when his boss refused to allow him a break.
The mom then proposed that her son give up his job so that they could go on vacation together.
“We forced him to depart with us. We advised him to look for one of several comparable positions when he returns. Although he objected, we persisted, the mother said.
The child was forced to quit his employment and was forced to leave. But he was irate the entire time. He was unable to forgive his parents and would not take their advice.
They could leave her kid alone for a few days, the woman clarified, adding that it wasn’t a lack of trust on their part. But in her opinion, her son shouldn’t prioritize his family over his profession.
After returning from vacation, the teen quickly found a new employment.
Despite everything, he could not get over his parents’ actions and was still furious about it because, in his opinion, they had disregarded his decision.
What do you think—do you believe the young man was correct?
