When we least expect it, happiness always comes knocking on our door. For the British couple David and Alexis Brett, this was especially true. Rotagaid, Alexis’s first child, was born when she was 22 years old. Nine additional boys were added to the family over the course of the following 15 years.
Even though they wanted a girl, the couple decided to let God decide. It took a lot of time and effort to manage the household with so many guys. The shock, though, came when Alexis unintentionally found out that she was having a second child.
She was certain that the Brett family would grow by one son, but amazingly, a baby girl was delivered instead. It was a significant event in their family’s history.
According to the parents, their sons’ behavior has been significantly impacted by the newborn. They make an effort to be more amicable and refrain from arguments in order to avoid upsetting Cameron. The brothers like caring for her as well.
Every day at five in the morning, Alexis drives David to his job as a train driver. She has already committed herself entirely to the children’s homeschooling after 1.5 hours.
Alexis won’t be on maternity leave for very long this time, though. She will shortly resume working full-time as a fitness teacher.
The Brett family’s life has changed and been much enhanced by the birth of their daughter, making it even more complete and fulfilling.
