Rebecca Boening, a woman from Texas, developed health problems after her blood sugar levels plummeted while she was ordering from a Burger King drive-thru.
When the employee recognized Rebecca needed assistance, she made sure to give it to her despite the fact that she was on the job during a busy day.
This is what Rebecca blogged about the meeting, which drew a lot of attention.
“I was driving west on I-40 on Wednesday afternoon when my blood sugar dropped to a dangerous level.”
Fortunately, there was a Burger King restaurant near the next exit. I indicated to the voice on the speaker that I was diabetic and in need of food as I struggled through placing my order.
Low blood sugar makes thinking and acting harder. I drove up to the first window to pay for my lunch. Tina Hardy, a Burger King employee, was sprinting toward the front of my car, which surprised me.
She squeezed between the front of my car and the building to hand me a little ice cream cone.
Tina subsequently revealed that her husband was diabetic as well, and she could sense I needed assistance. I pulled up to Tina’s window after paying and she handed me my lunch.
She told me to park across the driveway so she could monitor me until I felt better.”
“After my meal, I waited for a lull in activity to return to Tina’s window.” I contacted with Tina’s boss after taking this photo and thanked him for everything.”
We are thankful that there are still people like Tina who will go to any length to assist someone in need.
