Rod Stewart melts hearts inviting 94-yr-old sister on stage for moving performance of ‘Sailing’

There is no denying that Sir Rod Stewart is a brilliant entertainer.

Since the beginning of his career, the “Maggie May” singer has always topped the charts.

So, when you attend one of his performances, prepare for enthralling performances and a few unexpected surprises.

In Edinburgh, he recently wrapped up his UK Tour with a delightful surprise.

The songs “First Cut is the Deepest,” “Maggie May,” “Have I Told You Lately?” and “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?” by Rod Stewart were performed.

All night long, the crowd was dancing to all of his songs, but they weren’t ready for what was about to happen toward the finish of his performance.

Rod Stewart sang “Sailing,” another of his best hits, on stage with his 94-year-old sister.

When his sister Mary came over and put a sailor hat on him, he was wearing his gleaming black-and-white striped shirt.

Of course, the hat fits the performance—it’s a sailor’s hat!

My sister is here! He proudly yelled, “94!”

Mary joined her brother on stage and waved to the audience, taking in the occasion.

She joined her brother in singing the song while encircling him with one arm.

The fans truly adored it because it was such a cute moment.

Sir Rod acknowledged in a conversation with The Mirror how much that particular event meant to him.

“At 94, she is still enjoying herself on a rock and roll stage. She has taught me about life and still does.

Before the support singers joined them, Sir Rod Stewart gave Mary a bear hug.

It was really a magnificent scene to see before he ended that night’s play and tour.
